The March Perespectives features commentary on the growing threat of war, as economic tensions between the United States and China, as well as America’s rivals in Europe, increase. The looming possibility of an attack on Iran and its broader implications are also analyzed.

Greece remained the focal points of attempts by European international finance capital to impose unprecedented cuts in living standards on the working class. The Perspectives review the divisions within the European bourgeoisie and exposed the role of the trade unions and various petit bourgeois left groups, which sought to block the resistance of the working class to these attacks.

The March Perspectives analyzes the regressive health care legislation forced through by the US Obama administration, beginning the process of dismantling Medicare and other so called entitlement programs, and the attacks launched by Obama on public education.

The Perspectives follow the inquiry into utility shutoffs and social conditions in Detroit launched by the Socialist Equality Party, which marked an important step toward the political mobilization of the working class against the devastating decline in living standards.
